Our 911 response times are the fastest they have been in years–with 90% of calls answered within 15 seconds, after a low of 72% in 2023. Today, I visited the dispatchers who work every day to respond to emergency situations without delay.

We passed new RV legislation last fall to help get people out of RVs and into stable housing and make sure our streets are safe and clean for everyone. More than 100 households, including families, have now traded RVs for housing, showing our new approach is working.

Mayor Daniel Lurie has chosen the next leader of San Francisco’s homelessness agency, an appointment that is poised to leave Lurie’s mark on one of the most important parts of the city government.
Mike Levine is the new Executive Director of San Francisco’s Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing.
Mike is a lifelong public servant, having led Massachusetts’ Medicaid program, a $23 billion agency that serves nearly 2 million residents.
